Type of candle wax that looks like Hot Process soap?

I saw that same thing today and they were mia bella or something like that. They were palm wax and supposedly burn without smoke and hold frag very well. They weren't burning at this outdoor market but did smell very good. I was going to post where do you get palm wax from in a post.

New soap maker needing some advice

You can do that, or for the coconut just put it in some warm water or out in the sun depending where you live, it will turn liquid at 76 degrees and you can pour it. The palm I would melt down and transfer to a bucket or something so that you can scoop it out as needed like ice cream. As...

Oh Thank you Hazel and Irish Lass. I got many a soaping tip from both of you back in the day and still use most of them including some of the recipes you have posted over the years. The site is still a work in process, in hind sight I should have had a woman design it. Men haven't got a...

    Ascorbic Acid (vitamin c)

Yes buttermilk is quite nice. I have used my daughters acv and rhassoul clay mask and it shriveled my skin but it makes her younger oily skin quite nice.

    Ascorbic Acid (vitamin c)

I think its a mix of the clay and ACV. I use that on my daughters mud scrubs when we do face masks. I use yogurt or buttermilk for my mature skin and she uses acv. I have used acv and a drawing clay like Moroccan clay and it really does take the oils out but I need my oils in so I use kaolin...

    Ascorbic Acid (vitamin c)

My thought is that is was added to reduce the ph of the soap.

    Black Friday all Weekend

We are a new soap supply company. Our name is American Soap Supplies. We created the original TS Tall Skinny Silicone Mold earlier this year out of necessity for myself, an avid soap maker, and the soaping community. Just a few months ago we started our own company and added other...

    Ts silicone mold

I just saw this question. It holds between 36-40 oz of oil depending on your water discount. I like to make soap in silicone molds that is 33-35% water for easier release. The TS silicone mold due to its deep cavity keeps the batter moist longer so a slight water discount really makes a...

    Shampoo Bar - Thanks Lindy!!

Don't add salt unless you are doing an all coconut bar, it inhibits bubbles in oils except for coconut. Coconut oil makes bubbles in anything!
