    Suggestions for ROSE FO please

I just checked my notes on the Moonworks Gypsy Rose. The cure date was June 16th and still very fragrant. I did use full water as it was my first time soaping this fo and florals are so finicky.my recipe contains more hard oils and traces fast. I added the colorant to the oils and stick blended...

    Nature's Garden

I agree about the Perfect Man fragrance, it's Awesome and sticks great! It sells out as fast as I can make it, and has become my best seller in the men's catgory. I really like Dragon's Blood from NG, it's an incense type that appeals to both women and men. I had trouble soaping the absinthe but...

What NG frag oils hold scent for a long time???

Forgot to mention Fruity Rings, and it's very strong! Just soaped another batch tonight, as I'm having a hard time keeping it stock! Lavender vanilla downy dupe is long lasting, and Magnolia & Orange Blossoms sticks. Aqua Di Gio is good but I' d like it to be a little stronger, same for Very...

What NG frag oils hold scent for a long time???

From NG- Cracklin' Birch, Loving Spell, Perfect Man, Yummy (Lush Dupe)....All of these are strong and lasting in cured soap..I hate weak oils and most often use 1 oz./ppo. That's about all I can think of from them that are strong at the moment..i've had some weak ones from them too just like...

    ITP Swirling

I like to mix my oxides with a little bit of glycerine and just stir really good before adding the soap batter or there will be little specks in the swirls, and like Genny mentioned oils work good too.

    Is this rice-ing?

I've had the same problem happen from soaping too cool when using a high percentage of hard oils in recipes. Looks like stearic streaks imo. were you soaping at cooler temps? your soap should be fine as long as there is no zap..

Urgent. What do you use for canopy weights?

I bought mine at Lowe's..you could make some though out of pvc pipes filled with cement. Might could get by with some barbell weights as well.. the ones at Lowe's were around $50.

I just went on the Etsy site and typed acne soap and couldn't believe how many soap makers are selling soaps listed as acne soap right on the label...unbelievable

Has anyone tried the African Soap nuggets from Columbus Oil?

Be very careful about advertising medical claims to your customers. This may very well help with those ailments but you can't advertise that or your soap may be considered a drug and subject to all sorts of regulation.[/quote. I always keep that in...

Has anyone tried the African Soap nuggets from Columbus Oil?

I agree it's soft, washed my hands with a little chunk of it..first time trying it and it sure melts away quickly..doesn't seem as moisturizing as my cp bars, but didn't dry out my skin either. Thanks for your feedback on this, that's exactly what I had in mind, but this ABS soap isn't cheap so...

Has anyone tried the African Soap nuggets from Columbus Oil?

I realize this is an old thread but I just got some of this today from Soapers Choice, and yes it's soft and beige with dark specs. I bought it to add to my salt bars which I love for combatting acne issues, and how they make my skin soft, but I've had some customers mention African black soap...

    Troubleshooting: Clear Streaks

The soap in the first pic looks loke stearic streaks..are you soaping room temp? What is your hard vs. Soft oil percentages. If you have more solid fats, and butters than liquid oils then I would suggest you soap hotter. I tend to soap at around 125 degrees or i get the same problem with these...

    Lonestar

A few weeks ago I purchased a few samples from Lonestar when they had their 99cent sample sale and I really liked their White Nectarine and Pink Coral, and Eternity dupe for cp. I was wondering if any of you might have some more FO's that you could suggest from Lonestar that does well in cp soap...

Your thoughts on these Elements FOs

It's their White Peach FO, reasonable price too..and I still have some soap so I'll send you a sample to make sure you like it. Everyone who picks it up says, mmmm Peach, but it is a little light, so I would recommend 1 ozppo.
