EO's that dont hold up in CP

Not being rude here but maybe start with a search of the forums. I know this has been discussed many, many times on the boards. There's a ton of good info here if you don't mind making a little effort to seek it out in a search first then if you still have questions that weren't answered post...

Anyone using resin incense in soap?

I know one of those two, or rather the tree that produces it, is heading towards a dangerously low population level because the other things that grow around the trees are just so darn aggressive and the amount of time it takes for a new one to start growing can be years. I'll see if I can find...

    Soap for Acne ?

I have warned folks about the chamomile causing ragweed allergies to flare up from the first time I used it in anything, even before I even knew of my mil's ragweed allergies. Knowing what it was made from she no more then opened the wrapping on a bar I gave her at Christmas, took a good sniff...

    Marketing as vegan

What about adding shredded coconut to water in the blender and giving that a whirl? You do that with almonds and get almond milk so why not with coconut?

    Best company for samples

If you haven't purchased a sample from Elements before it's not a full ounce. It's maybe a 1/4 oz vial which means testing in a batch is not likely. They do throw in the same small vials in each order, the bigger the order the bigger the goodie bag she puts in. When I'm ordering new items...

    Preserving hydrosols?

I'd done some reading up on making these at home myself and without preservative they were saying they can keep in the fridge for up to a year. I decided I had too much on my plate and put my study on them on hold but for me it would depend on if it was for personal use or product use. Just...

    Soap for Acne ?

My daughter and I can't use salt soap and neither can many of my friends that come to me for face soaps. I use 50% olive oil recipe and also infuse some olive oil with chamomile and calendula petals and sub that in for some of the olive oil in the soap. *I also add tea tree eo. I also grind...

    How do you know if...

If I use EOs in my soap I hot process the soap with a little sodium lactate to keep it pourable. Once the now lye neutral soap cools in the pot I add my EOs, mix gently but well and pour into molds. At least this way more of the scent sticks but I don't do more then 1/2oz PPO. I also mostly...

Rooto Lye Users - Please Confirm

Says page not found when I tried it. The hardware stores here don't carry 100% lye unless you pay $14 for 2lbs and that's steep. I order mine from AAA Chemicals, I get 100% lye, food grade, for around $4.50 or less per bottle depending on the number of bottles I order. Even after shipping...

    Whipped body butter

I finally got my Kitchenaid, the top of the line one that normally sells for $450, when while window shopping for one we found that they had a rebate of $100 and happened to be on sale $75 dollars off and Bed, Bath & Beyond had a 40% off coupon that week. That made the top of the line one cost...

    Anyone Do Massages ??

I infused rosemary and mint into a balm I made and it has helped with my leg cramps, back aches and swelling in my ankles. I tried it on a whim because I read it increases blood flow (maybe that's the reason to not use it while pregnant) and it works great! I take muscle relaxers, mild...

    That sinking feeling...

Maybe try a blowdryer on hot but low fan setting on the tops to remelt them? Or put hot water in a pan and set them in the water, without getting water in them of course, and letting them slowly remelt that way?

cheapest place to buy sea salt

I've purchased from sfbsc.com as well and after a shipment arrived with tiny holes poked in the bags which led to salt loose in the box I called them just to let them know that the bags could have used a little packing material in the future and that I lost no more then a couple ounces at best...

    little wooden spoons for scrubs

I haven't looked for them but San Francisco Bath Salt Company gives away a small bamboo spoon with all orders for bath salts. Maybe they sell them separately? Worth a look. http://www.sfbsc.com/ ETA: Found this for you: http://www.sfbsc.com/bath-salt-packaging

    Curing CP soaps

I have a table I can cure mine one that will hold up to about 200 soaps and I use the sticky note strips to write the fragrance on and always place the sticky just below the last row of each scent. I also write the date on it of when I made them so I can do the date math at a glance for turning...

    Wisteria

Actually brings a tear to my eye. My mom had wisteria growing outside her bedroom windows for as long as I can remember. My dad finally build a trellis for it to climb on and eventually it went up the side of the house, over the pathway and down the other side on the fence. She had...

    Powdered Goat Milk

What I do in that case is mix 1 part powder into my oils to 8 parts of water used to make the lye solution then combine lye solution with the oils. I then stick blend the oils lightly to get out any blobs. If you refrigerate or freeze you will get a light color. If you do your cp as usual...
