    Hi I have decided I am going to transition into using natural colours in my soap. So am doing alot of research!! Has any tried Coreopsis flowers in infusion? Am interested in what can survive the ph levels. Of course the clays, indigo and others. Any help/advice appreciated.

    That's so interesting! Does the lye not need to go through geo thermal reaction (I think it's called) , reaching certain temperature to make soap soap?

    Hi everyone, I made (attempted to) some fluid hot process soap and accidentally threw lye into hot oils (200 degrees f) instead of water!!,😖. Decided to carry , being sure to thoroughly mix lye particles in. The soap looks and feels ok, just unsure weather is safe to use. I can't find any info...

    Ok, I'll bin it. Also, if a recipe calls for .5 Oz lemon ess oil and .5 TeaTree and I only want to use Lemon would I put 1 oz lemon or stick to .5 total ess oil?

    Sorry, and yes, I get way ahead of myself. I was melting oils, and instead of doing oil/lye mix and bringing to trace, after which glycerine is added, I threw glycerine into croc pot with oil! Do am wondering if I can use this mix in some way? Is it worth adding the lye and attempting to bring...

    Mistake!

    Hi Just joined. Beginner soap maker. Threw on the ingrediants for a melt and pour base and accidentally put the glycerine in with my oils before lye!! What will happen or not happen if I continue? I assume it's a flag as lye ratio will be affected. Can I save it?
