I had great success with Glenda's idea. Scraped the embed a bit at the back with a needle, wet it with a brush, push together and leave - still sticking, although I have not yet used the soap.

Today's soapy thing was 1 batch on plain Boerseep and rendering and purifying tallow. I really dislke the rendering and purifying - it takes ages! At least I still had enough tallow for 1 batch left - so that I can at least feel like am actually making soap and not just cooking fat all the time,

Spend Saturday at a local Festival featuring one of South Africa's top Afrkaans singers. Imagine my surprise this morning when my friends send me his Facebook post where he mentions and shows my soap! I am so excited!

They turned out lovely!

Yes. All flavoured with essential or flavour oils as indicated by the name. Except the Boerseep. That is uncoloured and anscented.

Please keep us updated on this - and if it really works for the mozzies. I am one of their favourite treats - would be wonderful if bathing with neem could keep them off me - somehow they always seem to find the spot I missed with the repellant stick!
