    Help with hair

Would you be willing to share that recipe? I make my own bar soap and have thick wavey hair with a little damage. I go one day without a wash and it looks like I dumped oil on my roots while the rest is still fine...

    Is shampoo just soap?

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your advice! I've had one of my blends sitting for about a week now in LS and it seems to be leveling out. I'm probably going to have to scrap my other blend that's heavy on orange EO.

Could you offer a list of EO that work well in LS?

    Is shampoo just soap?

You wouldn't happen to have a food shampoo and conditioner recipe??? I'd even happily try solid shampoo!

    Is shampoo just soap?

150g coconut oil 25g caster oil 100g mango butter (not worried about soap clarity) 225g olive oil 190g distilled water 110g (90%) KOH I heated the oils on the stove top to melt together while I whipped up my lye/water solution. Got both to same temp and combined. I then imprison blended to trace...

    Is shampoo just soap?

So, I've read that shampoo is just soap woth an adjusted PH. I'm wanting to make my own shampoo, soap, and conditioner... I prefer liquid and do not have a slow cooker to make shampoo in. My question is, if I find a shampoo recipe that requires a slow cooker, can u do it on the stove top to hot...

    New to liquid soap

Thank you so much! The soap Calc I uses said I was smack between 5 & 6% but it didn't have a KOH purity. I don't mind opaque soap at all. I'll give this a try when my kids go to there grandma's

    New to liquid soap

The top is literally bubbles. The KOH is 90% pure. Here are the measurements I used 150g coconut oil 225g olive oil 100g mango butter 25g caster oil 190g tea made from distilled water 98g KOH The longer I leave it sit in the containers, the more liquid I get at the bottom as the foam pops

    New to liquid soap

I made my first ever batch of liquid soap Sunday. The paste turned out pretty easily, bur when I tried to dissolve/soften it it ended up becoming very foamy (I used a potato masher to gently mash the clumps). I waited over night and it was still a sort of foamy consistency. I then added...

What soapy thing have you done today?

So, I made liquid soap for the first time using a recipe I found on Humblebee&Me. It's made on the stove top (I don't have room for a slow cooker in my tiny kitchen). The paste turned out as far as I could tell. I then used the recomended 10:0:6 dilution method suggested to simply get more paste...

    Fixing Liquid Soap Separation

I stumbled on this thread trying to figure out why my own liquid soap is separating... I didn't use a slow cooker as I don't have one or the counter space for one. I used the hot process method I found on Humblebee&Me. I dissolved the soap paste I hot distilled water and it seemed to sort of...

    New to liquid

Hello everyone! So I'm new to making liquid soap, I refuse to use the slow cooker method. I've made several successful batches of herbal infused cold process soap already last year and want to move onto liquid soap. I'm hoping to get some help from all of you and offer help where I can as well!
