    Looking for a good FFB sugar scrub recipie

    I am always reading that you need to whip 2# foaming butter at a time. If I read your tutorial correctly, you used 2# but split them into 2 batches? Or, no? I would like to try 1# at a time if it's possible.

    thanks for the wrap information, Rita. I will do that first, but I still think I'm doing the corrugated wrap with natural hemp string, or even bale twine if I can find it. I've done RTCP, but since getting a pretty hyper dog, I don't feel comfortable doing it with her around. So, I'm happy...

    That is beautiful packaging, kallista. Where'd you get the corrugated paper? The colored paper looks like wallpaper; thick and glossy. Very pretty.

    Bath teas

    I've made bath bags, using different herbs with epsom salts and/or oatmeal powder. But, the one that my testers absolutely loved was my Oatmeal, Milk & Honey. I used powder goat milk, powder honey, whole oatmeal, oatmeal powder, and OMH fo... it smelled wonderful!!!

    shea-aloe whip

    what about using 1% cyclomethicone? It works devine in our body fluff and lotion recipes.

    Shea Butter

    The shea butter needs to be tempered, or heated and held at that temp for a period of time to take away that 'gritty' feel after it hardens. Try heating the shea butter to 175 degrees and hold that temp for at least 20 minutes. This allows the shea butter to melt completely and no crystals...

    Face soap

    I made this soap Sept 3rd, and I'm gonna test it Oct 1st. It looks great, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I used a Crystal Lite container, so it's not a really big batch. And, I loved the soap cut into round bars. I use percentages, so you can run it thru soapcalc for your oils ozs. 23%...
