    First time using clays

I've had some folks approach me about making soap with different clays as ingredients. I've never used clay as an ingredient before, and am looking for a little guidance on usage rates. I have two that have been requested for facial soaps - red (Moroccan, I think. I know it's not Rhassoul)...

    Bastille

So if "Bastille" is mostly olive and then something else, is there a preferred oil or oils for the "something else"? Mostly I've seen castor, but would other things work? Like olive/pko/castor at 90/5/5? Or 85/7.5/7.5? Thanks. Anita

    Meadowfoam Oil

I've recently come across the information that this oil has bonding properties, and therefore can be used to help fix scents. If I were using it for that purpose, any idea on usage rates? One ounce per pound of oils? More? Less? Thanks for the help. Anita
