    I will soap at between 32-45°C (90-107.5°F) - but i will also keep the batter fluid enough to fill the gaps and wait fir the layer to set up enough to scrape.

    Yes this is multiple batches - you need to soap cool however as this is scraped layers you do need it to set up to be able to scrape each layer

    Essential oils wont react with the lye as they are not fatty acid oils - so you would essentially consume your superfat

    Adding supertight angles is great if you have one mould - but i have multiples so i try not to add really sharp corners as they are more likely to snap the wire

    a rule of thumb. i use is harder oils for harder band softer oils for softer bar - i usually aim for a 50/50 split but within 10% either way.

    Totally looking at other techniques. but certainly want to concentrate on swirls first. then pours like column, ombre and gradient and embeds and stuff.
