I have the wooden box one from Amazon too! I like it. It does work better if you let the soaps cure for a bit before using it.

I have that mold, and love it. Just be sure to wipe a thin layer of Vaseline on the dividers so the soap is easier to remove. I forgot once and had to take a wire between the divider and the soap to get it out. 🙁

I strained the sand out using a mesh strainer and coffee filter, then boiled it for 10 minutes, and stored it in a glass mason jar in the fridge. The first time I didn't boil it, but it seems fine. Good luck!

Hi and welcome! I was born and raised in Wisconsin! I use fresh goat's milk in most of my soap, but some people use powdered. Either way I think you will like what it adds to a bar of soap. Good luck!

I use plastic molds from WSP for CP soap all the time and it works great. I use goat's milk at 100% water replacement, so I don't CPOP or let it gel. I put them in the freezer or fridge right away, for about 24 hours, and pop them right out. Works great!

I would love to see a video of various soap molds (wood, acrylic, silicone, etc.) the pros and cons of each, and then your favorite and why. I have seen reviews of molds, but they are usually gifted by the company, and because of that overly positive. Also, swirl techniques.
