Thank you for responding. I added the extra water to the lye solution and threw in some silk to see what would happen. The lye solution reheated up to almost 200 degrees and the silk looks like it mostly dissolved. Good that it dissolved, not good that the solution heated up so high. I’ll have...

That may just be it! Gel phase. Since it’s gotten a bit colder out, I did cover the soaps with a lid and a blanket. I didn’t cover with a blanket before. As far as a reformulation, no it is the same as always. Thank you for replying :)
