What were you gifted or got for yourself over the holidays (for soaping or bath&body)?

https://www.lush.com/ca/en_ca/p/celebrate-gift/250g?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAhc-sBhCEARIsAOVwHuRyph6q9QMcFmrZwi6GbL3TBZ2i12NFJ5OeIWB_stO79XmR6ZD7YuoaAhRnEALw_wcB You can use this to see the ingredients. I love lush but I know it definitely could be overwhelming for someone with sensitive skin.

Gifted soaps. Are they being used?

I gift my soaps to friends and family. I have some people who love them and encourage me to sell, I have other persons who say they are too pretty to use. I tend to continue to gift them to the people who tell me they like or those who ask. I respect the fact that my bar soap obsession isn't...

    Soap fail

The majority was soft crumbly, but I just went to melt down in my crackpot and found that one layer was hard crumbly and lye heavy as it zapped. So when i thought i mixed to a light trace and then seperated for the colours it must not have been mixed properly. The soap shreds I would have blitz...

    Soap fail

Decided to experiment this weekend and made 3 loafs of soap, 2 using my usual recipes and the last I used a recipe from a popular YouTube soaper, I adjusted by adding goats mill powder and soap shreads.... I left it in the mold for 2 days unmolded tonight to a big crumbly mess. Not sure if I...

No stir palm oil east coast canadian sources

Hi, I live in Ontario and have previously gotten no stir palm oil from Windy Point in Calgary for a decent shipping price. I actually checked this week and they are currently sold out so I was thinking of trying the palm oil (not no stir) from New Direction Aromatics. Would you mind saying...

    soaps for a cosmetic spa

I went to the showroom to smell the fragrances before I purchased. I'm not sure if ypu can buy on the spot or if you still have to wait the processing time. It isn't a storefront but a showroom where they had samples of the products they sell.

Before picking up my last order I emailed and asked if they had reopened the showroom. They said yes and I sniffed ALL of the fragrances when i went to collect. 😊

    Painting shower steamers

I made some shower steamers and wanted to paint them, would it work to mix mica or avlctovated charcoal with alcohol to paint them? I did read that using witch hazel to melt menthol crystals wouldn't cause them to activate but I tried that and it immediately started bubbling so I know with...

Hi! I'm from Ontario as well . I was able to find some small and large stainless steel mixing bowls in dollarama to mix my lye but I sometimes interchange using those with a milk jug although come to think of it I've never checked the grade of plastic. I got my kitchen scale and my first...

Today I collected some fragrances from New Directions Aromatics. I changed jobs and pass their location every day to get to work so decided to give them a try. Super excited to test these fragrances so may make a 100% coconut soap tonight.

I actually saw the corn silk on this forum and decided to try it as I had lots of corn during the summer This was my thought but I wanted to have them colored so that it would go with my theme, but I can always do a mica drizzle I guess 😊 I had previously done a batch with those additives and...
