So I wanted to update everyone on my lotion bar project. After much trial error and returns I was able to find a tin that fits the BB Monstera Leaf mold. Now to try to get these gosh darn things to sell. I have them paired with my watermelon soap for Mothers Day. https://a.co/d/fkwWtAY

I just think its ironic that BB promotes this whole lotion bar kit on its website using that very mold and everyones like its too big. Its funny.

Thank you for all your help @TheGecko . I got the mold free so I figured I may as well make something pretty with it. I agree with your points re ingredients. I try to limit my number of ingredients ( 4-7) overall just for my own sanity and focus on visual appeal and prettiness.

I bought some bulk oils at BB tonight and got a free Monstera Leaf mold. I was thinking about a Mothers Day soap set with a lotion bar. Has anyone tried this BB recipe? And how do you figure out the right tin/container? Thanks...

Thank you @AliOop ! I dumped it out of the mold and into a big container. Ill look at it in the am and prepare to mash it up for hp . At least it doesnt smell terrible( read all the pine tar horror stories too).

So I followed bad advice ( not here) and used 2.9:1 water- lye in my pine tar to keep it fluid to avoid seizing .it wont trace. What can I do?? Why do i go otherplaces than here 30% lard 25% co 26% oo 4% castor 15% pine tar Anyone have a working recipe? Eta lye water was room temp- 78, oils...
