To be honest I wanted to label the soap directly and bath bombs i wanna first to wrap in the plastic ( unfortunately ) and after add some stickers/ labels
Thank you all for tips.
When I started making soap I was very strict with temperatures because all the recipes are saying to mix lye and oils at the same temp. After making some batches I've realised that it wasn't efficient enough for me because I had to wait long time to cool down lye and...
Dear all,
I try to find myself in the soapCalc ( it's a bit of rocket science for beginners ). I stick to the rules that are explained on the website however I couldn't find any information about at what temperature I should mix lye and oils.
I'm testing lots of recipes at this moment...
I would like to start printing labels for my soap instead of handwriting labels. In which direction I should look ?
Of course I would like to have my labels in colour . I don't mind regular paper however I would like to have possibilities to print on the sticker paper.
I tried to look at it in...
It has been long time that I wanted to try 2 colours bath bombs but I was always like " naaah, I will not manage" . So.... finally I did it today!
They are not perfect as during cutting calendula petals destroyed the pattern but somehow I'm happy with result.
Wish you all splendid day!
Could you tell us which oils do you store in the fridge?
I just got few kg of shea butter, avocado oil, canola, sweet almond.
There is heat now in Amsterdam and I was wondering if I could put some oils to the fridge. I would appreciate your help 😊
I used the strainer. Oils and lye were at 37 Celsius.
Now as you mentioned air bubbles can be the case, while I was mixing it with blender I saw in the beginning lots of air bubbles and then I was more careful with stirring trying to avoid bubbles
Water was clear and I also used strainer - better be safe than sorry.
I will try again this recipe but with lye concentration like you mentioned. Thank you 😊
Hi there!
I just made a soap however during blending I saw white spots and I'm afraid that it's a lye.
Soap is now curing and hopefully spots will disappear.
Did any of you had a similar situation?
I started to think that maybe I wasn't consistent with mixing or lye solution suppose to be...
I'm just a beginner with bath bombs so I am looking for recipes, examples and need to say you are on my list to fallow. It looks so amazing! I hope that you don't mind that I will save your recipe. Well done with your bath bombs!
I used lavender essential oil
What should I do if it not written if its for CP or MP? Should I not buy it or check the certificate and specifications? If so how do I recognise that particular micas are for CP?
It's wasn't written if it's for one or another specifically.
I mean I don't mind that it changed colour this time but I'm wondering if I should stop using it for CP and only MP which I also do?
