Soap making ingredients suppliers in India

Tested Aromakrafts's FO's in CP and all lead to acceleration and ricing. I guess their FO s are M&P only products, in which they work fine.

    Anyone else get smelly rags?

Its the bacterias, it will eat whatever organic matter left in the rag/sponge/scrub and release hydrogen sulphide(smell of rotten egg/meat). If you notice it will be happening more frequently in humid weather. It used to happen to me every few days, since our city is really humid and when hubby...

    Cheap beginner molds-what are yours?

My first mould was old silicon bread mould I never use because it takes too much time to bake, then bought some cheap silicon jelly/pudding moulds. But, I started with M&P. About the soap cutters, they sure are expensive here too, I was wondering if its really worth buying them.

How many soap makers get insurance?

This question may be dumb, but, why do a soap maker need insurance? Is it like insuring home just in case of disastors like fire, cyclone etc.?

    Ghastly Gardenia

What about rubbing few drops of some citrus oils? I hope that will work. My mom used to rub lemon peels on her hands after cleaning fish, to get rid of the stench and it always worked.

    Tumeric Jaggery Syrup

I dont know how molasses tastes like, never used it before, not easily available here. But jaggery is really common here, can find at any grocery shop.

    Tumeric Jaggery Syrup

Never tried it in soap, actually never thought about it. If you are just looking for color, I guess it will work. Since, jaggery syrup and honey really look similar, its a common adulterant found in honey. So, why not try it in soap instead of honey, it wont give the fragrance though.

    Coconut oil shelf life

I am a newbie, still I think you have to reduce the coconut oil in the recipe, it will be too harsh with salt included. Lets see what our veterans say.

    My new garden baby

They are hard to bloom if you are growing them from a cutting. My uncle had a farm of it and he used to grow some hybrid kind(dont know the name, visited only once when I was kid). I tried to grow at home from a cutting I took from there, never bloomed even after 3-4 yrs and my mom cut it down...

    Coconut oil shelf life

Coconut oil wont get bad that fast, when we used to make our own, there will be liters of it in storage enough for 1-2 yrs. Only thing you have to do is keep them away from sunlight and moisture.

Why all the Castile &/ Bastile Slime Hate?

You missed coconut oil: I didnt add stearic acid to oil list, since I thought it as just an additive(classic newbie mistake, I know). I used total of 1040g of oils, excluding stearic acid. And superfat was 5%. yes, Lye is NaOH I just reduced 10% of total water mentioned by lye calculator. I...
