I feel a little sad about this...

No offense to this artisan, but as far as this soap goes... we have a word here in Louisiana, could be a nationwide word...but its usually used to describe cheaply made, unsparkly, or plain ole, run-o-the-mill Mardi Gras Beads...the word "Chinsey" comes to mind. Odd word, right?

    Melt & Pour+deco-molds=the only way?

Can one used homemade and then rebatched (french, hand-milled)soap in a decorative, detailed, and delicate mold without coming out with bubbles and ripples in your details? Would it require a lot of water and thus curing time? I want to use my own basic soap batches in a shape other than square...

recipes for melt and pour soap base?

I find these to be useful...usually you want to search "basic soap recipe." the term "basic soap" implies that you make it without any scent or essential oils and with little or no color. You blend them up, pour it all into a mold, insulate it, then let it cure for a few weeks. when its all...

I'm going to be using a lot of hand milled processes from cp soap that I've made the ole fashioned way, but I'd like to use melt n pour glycerin soaps to make "soap gems." Dazzling. anyone prefer a certain glycerin soap over another? (All the mp glycerin soaps I tend to find seem to have a lot...

    pure sodium carbonate

sodium carbonate is not useful for making toiletries. you may be thinking sodium bicarbonate which is used in making toothpaste and deodorants. mixed with citric acid, one can make a pleasant fizzing bath bomb.
