Yep, I think that's why most people don't. It takes forever for the soap to absorb it all the way through, and it has to be cured first or the drying process just pushes it all out. It doesn't really save all that much on eo, maybe 1/3 less, so the only reason I do it is to try several...

Does anyone know of an EO that has a strong coumarin scent, like sweetgrass and some other plants? When I infuse herbs in oil it comes through in soap, a little bit, and seems to last a while, but it's so light that any other EO overpowers it. Maybe it doesn't distill and I'm barking up...

I do what TessY does, I've never had it discolor or get grainy that way. I can't say for sure whether it increases bubbles either. My issue is sugar is seems like milk or honey sometimes, with heating things up too much. edit: (not always though, guess it depends on the oils or something)
