    Soap curing

    What do you place your bars on during the curing process? I am going to cure mine in the spare bathroom (safe from the animals in the house). It has wire shelving. I read that curing on wire shelves can cause DOS. Most of my soaps have high OO so the curing process will be long.

    Sodium ovilate in CP soap

    I purchased some Nablus soap from the Nablus Soap Company. I was looking at the ingredients and I saw that the last ingredient on the list was sodium olivate. I am curious. What is the purpose of adding a surfactant to a cold process soap? Anyone have any ideas?

    I want to make a laurel berry oil soap. My plan is to do 40% laurel berry oil and 60% olive oil. Laurel berry oil has an interesting scent.
