    Cooking the LS

As you said it is very similar. You dilute the paste before cooking and cook them together. Also as for my understanding the no paste uses glycerin and potassium carbonate also it needs both Naoh and Koh. But I'm a newbie so this might not be right. At least in the book I'm reading this is the...

    Cooking the LS

I attached the recipe. Only I used half of everything. And it was a no paste method. I did the phenolphthalein test and it turns dark pink. I attached the color on the paper towel.

    Cooking the LS

Thanks for the information. So do I have to wait for it to cure now or is it good to use? I'm not familiar with cold process liquid soap making. Also, when should I do the neutralizing?

    Cooking the LS

Hello everyone, Hope everybody is safe and well. I made LS last night but since it was sooo late, I stopped cooking it and hat it sit overnight so I can continue cooking it today, but I remembered I had read somewhere that I can leave the LS over night instead of cooking it. Is this true? Do...

    Rebatch salt bars

Thanks for the advice. Would you mind explaining how does this work? Should I just make a totally new batch of cp salt and mix the old crumbles with the batter and then pour into mold?

    Rebatch salt bars

Thanks for the advice. Would they look decent enough for sale or they would have air gaps and be crumbled looking? I'm asking because I saw a couple of you tube videos of people rebatching salt bars but the bars didn't look right. Any advice on how to do it so it looks better?

    Rebatch salt bars

Hi everyone, Is there a way to rebatch a salt bar and get good nice looking bars? Or I should just throw it away and make another one? I waited too long before cutting my salt soap and it broke apart while cutting. Thanks.

    Pearling agent

Thanks for the advice, So you mean a soap with 50% lard and 50% pko? Is it good for a hand soap? I'm asking cause I'm very new to liquid soap making.

    Pearling agent

Hello fellow soap makers, I am wondering what I can use to give my liquid soap pearl effect and where should I buy it from? I've been looking for Glycol disparate, So far I wasn't able to find any supplier that has any. Thanks

    Koh instead of Naoh

This would be something I'm gonna use myself anyways. So I'll see if I can save it. I'll dilute and neutralize it and will post an update. I might need further help since I haven't done this before. Thanks for all the explanations.

    Koh instead of Naoh

You're right, there are a lot of variables off. I already cooked it with the additional lye, I'll dilute and zap test it and if it looks weird ill just dispose it. Thanks for the advice.

    Koh instead of Naoh

Thanks for checking. What I forgot to mention was I realized my mistake so late, when I had poured the batter in my wooden mold, and by morning a part of unsaponified oils had leaked out of the mold. So I kept the 5% superfat knowing I had lost a part of the fat. And thought I might be able to...

    Koh instead of Naoh

    Koh instead of Naoh

I used Koh instead of Naoh in my cp soap and my salt bar. I used sodium lactate in both. I also used Clay and mica to color my soap. Now I'm trying to rebatch the regular batch to liquid soap but because of the clay I used I dont think I'll get a translucent paste or clear mug test. I also dont...
