    making it a business

I have been a hobbyist for almost 19 years. I always wanted to make my hobby a business but because I already work full time, it just would not be easy. Is there anyone out there that after many years of hobby, decided to make it a business?

    Layered m&p came apart

I usually let my layers get firm as well. Then I scrape the layer with a fork, spray with rubbing alcohol and then pour my next layer.

Who is your favorite lavender eo supplier?

That’s a really good idea. I’ll size up on my bottle. It will definitely get used, that’s for sure. When I look at my sc3nt collection and look at all I throw away because of age, lavender eo is one that I never have to do that to. Thanks for the feedback!

Who is your favorite lavender eo supplier?

Ive bought lavender eo from both Camden Grey and WSP. I really prefer Camden Greys but with shipping, it is going to cost me roughly 36 bucks. I have not purchased their lavender eo for over fives years. So if the quality is still there, I really don’t mind spending the cash. Any feedback...

    Wax Clean UP

I thought this might be the place to ask this question. I have this one pound wad of natural beeswax. I wanted to get it into smaller amounts and was thinking that melting the whole thing might take too long and so I decided to start grating it with my all purpose kitchen grater. Needless to...

What effect does humidity have on curing soap?

I find the timing of this post so ironic. This morning, i drew some hot water in the garden tub, planning on giving my self a foot soak and pedicure after showering (tub and shower are separate). On the ledge of my tub is a dish and bowl of random soaps. Some of which are recently made. After...

I need to buy some more lye. Typically all my supplies are from WSSP. They seem to take forever to ship, even during their non-big sales. I dont want to buy lye from amazon ( i am a prime member) as I want to know where my supplies are coming from. Can anyone suggest where to get some lye...

Questions on my recipe for CP

OK!!! I will try sticking the loaf mold in the fridge the next time. But will the food in my fridge take on the smell of the soap? Also, I covered my soap with a towel. Do you think not covering it with a towel would be enough to prevent the gel stage? I also covered my soap with plastic...

Questions on my recipe for CP

Well, I did not know whether to post this under this beginners topic or under the CP topic. But right now that is the least of my my concern. I've been doing this bath and body hobby for about 16 years but only have about 30 batches of CP under my belt. I have lived in Texas for about 10...

    What Are You Watching?

So I watched this about 12 years ago. I enjoyed it so much more when I binge watched it a couple of weeks ago. Yes, the fowl language is necessary. Just make a drinking game of it....
