    How long did you wait?

Thanks, Deda. I am going to make my tea blends and syrup kits that I have been making for years and sell those in the interim along with the bath salts.

    How long did you wait?

I had someone post a response to my blog thread about making soap on my herbal blog. They said I had make hundreds of bars and wait a year before I put the first soaps on the site. How long did you wait before you started selling your soaps?

    My first two soaps

The first batch I made two weeks ago. It is the one that starting my search for a soap forum to figure out what I did wrong. The book I used, according to these great people here :D , had me use too much water. I cooked it down as much as possible, but it is still soft. The second batch...

Help- Aura Cacia E.O.?? or another brand that's comparable?

This one is pricey no matter where you look. It takes literally a ton of rose petals to make on ounce of rose essential oil. OUCH.

    Migraine after blending eo's

You are so right. The best blends often contain only two or three oils. Clove is also a strong essential oil and has been known to cause sensitivity. Depending on how much you used, you may have to much in the soap.

    Chamomile... Which is Which?

There are mainly two types of the Chamomile that are widely used: Roman (Chameamelum nobile) German (Matricaria recutica) And one that is on the market that is not a replacement for the above-mentioned two: Maroc chamomile (Ormenis multicaulis) I will give you a little more...

    Anise and Lavender

That's mainly because the smell of anise bears a strong resemblance to Chamomile.

Pine eo vs. Balsam Fir Needle Oil

It difference the smell has to do with the chemical make-up of the oil. Balsam fir has esters and alcohols in its make-up that Pine does not.

Storage and Care of Essential Oils

Essential Oils can be stored at room temperature with no repercussions. Extreme heat can deplete oils and, as in the case of citrus oils, can evaporate while still inside the bottle. Amber bottles are best for storage because they filter out most of the ambient light that can damage the...
