    TOO WET rebatch

Thanks for every response. They are all helpful. I think the batches are starting to dry out. I hate rebatching too. I might like it better if I had a slab mold. I am out of some of the FO's and EO's I used, so that's why I'm hoping they dry out so I can sell them in a couple of weeks.

    TOO WET rebatch

The batches themselves were fine. I just didn't like the unscented one because of the peanut oil. The others didn't have enough scent. I know I added too much water to the pot after I shredded them to melt the shreds down to rebatch. I didn't add anything but too much water and more FO...

    TOO WET rebatch

I rebatched 3 different batches of cp soap about 3 days ago and two of the batches are still WAY too wet. One is in a pvc pipe mold and the other in a clean pringles can (without the alum. bottom). They are still just as wet as when I put them in the molds. I've placed them in the hot car...

Thanks, Carebear. Perfect sense. There's too much variation between everyone's method using a warm oven that I still don't know where to start. I was hoping someone here has tried the stove top cphp and could tell me their method. The bookstore is a two hour drive and I don't think our...

    Hello from North Georgia

He keeps coming up with more idea for me! I don't mind mixing lye, but he's usually my lye mixer, mold holder while I pour, tells me when there's enough scent or too much or not enough. When I scent he's not standing over the soap with me, so he can smell it better than I can. Maybe if you...

the bigger the market, the better the business?

I've only set up this year at our local farmer's market, and alot of people just smile at me and go on. I get the weirdest reactions to my bubblegum soap. And just at the name. They won't smell it and say so out loud. I rambled. Would it be worth it to travel to find the bigger markets...

Cost of BASIC cp soap class

I'm working on a form to teach a BASIC cp soap making class at the local arts assoc. I feel I have a disadvantage for never taking a hands on class my self. I will cover safety, a chart of sap values and how to calculate to get water and lye amounts, everyone will mix and make their own soap...
