    HP Olive oil soap

I have dry skin and from what I have read coconut oil has a drying affect. Am I wrong? It seems that a lot of the recipes I've seen use coconut oil.

    HP Olive oil soap

How would 50% 50% olive oil and palm oil turn out?

    HP Olive oil soap

Gee thanks. I can't wait that long. What percentage of each would you use?

    HP Olive oil soap

I plan on making some olive oil soap. I also have palm oil. If I just use olive oil is there any need to add castor oil to increase the amount of bubbles? Would I be better off to use some palm oil with the olive oil. I've been using canola oil and it is just too soft and I'm tired of it. That's...

    Stearic acid

Thanks a lot Paul. As soon as I get my fragrance oils I'll cook up some soap. I just make the soap for myself and I ran out and have been using store bought for the last three months. Arrrrrg.

    Stearic acid

In the past I have used stearic acid to harden the bars of soap. It has been a while since I used it and alas I didn't write down how much I used. I used canola oil and it made a fairly soft soap and I never got the hard soap I wanted. I will be making more soap soon but have change the...

    question on PVC pipe...

Guess I haven't experienced that yet. I look at the pieces I made for David (my artist friends son) I think "Holy cow I sure made that wrong". But then I guess for a first time piece it is OK. Jim

    A few questions

I saw someone mentioned checking out the archives. How do I get there? What is a BBCode? How do I put one of those sayings that I see most of you have on your postings? Jim p.s. I really like this forum.

    question on PVC pipe...

My artist friend has a son who was into pottery, tiles and clay art work. We became good friends also. I made some things for him and was complaining about some trivial mistake that I had made in one of the pieces. He told me "Jim embrace the defects". Jim

    question on PVC pipe...

No, I just sell here and there. A good friend of mine is an artist and ceramist, if that is the correct word, and he has a studio show each year so I have shown some of my pieces there. I just work out of my garage so I don't make as much as I would like to. I got some tiles once from a tile...
