    Alkanet success ... I think!! (new pic!)

    Just tried my first Alkanet infused OO as a part of my recipe. The infused oil was more dark pink then turned a gorgeous earthy purple when I added the lye. Can't wait to uncover it tonight, hoping it lasts!

    Soy shortening 27% or fully hydrogenated?

    Hi everyone, I've been using Crisco but recently bought the cube of soy shortening from Soapers Choice. To recalculate my recipe with Soapcalc, does anyone know if it's the 27% hydrogenated soy option or the fully hydrogenated? Has anyone soaped with this oil from Soapers Choice? Thanks!!

    Calendula petal source?

    Rosewood Oil

    Do any of you use Rosewood? I made a blend with the Rosewood, Patchouli and a bit of Black Pepper and I don't smell the Rosewood in the bar at all! Anyone have experience with keeping the scent of this oil? Think I'll experiment with Rose Geranium next time!
