I have not seen lye Lowe's or Home Depot - there are drain cleaners, but not 100% lye. I've only found it at Ace Hardware (Rooto brand).

Have you found that there certain oils/butters/additives that will help scents 'stick' in soap?

Has anyone ever soaped this? If so, how did it behave? Spirituese Double Vanille is my favorite scent ever, so I just have to try and soap it.

I thought the shipping charges were pretty reasonable, actually. Granted, I'm just getting started but I was charged less to ship 7 pounds of sustainable palm by Columbus Foods than I was 8 ounces of FO by ScentWorks ($7 vs $10).

Lush isn't one lady, it's a big company with locations all over the world. They switched from a base that included palm oil to a palm-free one a year or so ago. It sucks. http://www.lush.com/
