I've used cho milk. I prefer adding chocolate or cocoa powder to the soap, cuz chocolate milk alone does not give me quite the color I want. But if you don't want real dark colored, it would make a lite color.

I suppose this is stating the obvious, but the recipe you use will make a difference. Some form into balls easily, and some would get too firm too fast to do it.

Maybe you could do some experiments on surfaces before you make them into molds. Just pour a bit of soap on them to see how it comes off and how the surface holds up.
