    Curing rack ideas

My husband made this for me and it works very well! Around $30 in materials. The drawers slide in and out.

What scents are you drawn to?

I'm a sucker for a powerful floral, particularly florals with an earthy undertone. An example would the Wholesale Supplies Plus Crafter's Choice's dupes for AVEDA'S Euphoria and Shampure. Lilac, honeysuckle, a blend of waterfall lily and lilac...I'm smitten. I also adore scents generally...

How Long to Cure Soap That Will Be Shredded, Dissolved in H20, Mixed & Whipped Into Laundry Soap?

Hi soapers! I made a 50% CO/50% Tallow, -3% Superfat, 37% Lye Concentration bar soap that is going to be used in my usual water-based, whipped, laundry soap recipe that I've used for years, but used Fels Napa for prior. The recipe involves melting/dissolving shredded bar soap into water on the...

Korean Style Floral Wrapping Paper for Packaging?

So, I've been trying to research a more eco-friendly option for wrapping up my soaps for storage/gifting after they cure. I need to start wrapping my oldest soaps, as space is running low! I was using shrink wrap initially, but my local municipality straight up stopped recycling plastic due to...

Remember How My Batch Seized? It Actually Turned Out! Pic Included

I wrote previously how I had a tea tree/lavendar essential oil cold process batch seize up like the dickens. A very, very, very wise fellow soaper (DeeAnna) on the forum advised me that perhaps it would not be a disaster when I cut it...and she was correct!!! I mashed lavedar buds on top of the...

    New Year Soaping Goals

Currently a hobbyist, but a goal is to start selling by the end of 2020. I soap very frequently, and I need to financially support the hobby. Outside of that, I want to: * develop a more refined way to track each attempt *create a master list of how each fragrance oil I use performs and...

I'm thinking you are probably right.

    Batch Seizure?? Help Discerning Why?

Can you say what brand tea tree you use? I absolutely love the scent of the two mixed equally, and I would love to have a successful soap with the two. I'm going to try another round with these two oils but without the aloe and with Brambleberry's Lots of Lather mix to remove any offending...

    Batch Seizure?? Help Discerning Why?

I was attempting a simple in the pot swirl with a recipe I have used before and colorants I have used before. I used 50% tea tree oil and 50% lavender essential oil as the fragrance. I had used this lavendar before and it performed fine. I have never used tea tree before. The recipe is as...

    Glycerine Rivers

What lye concentration or lye:water ratio are you using? Using full water (in addition to the heat you mentioned) can lead to glycerin rivers, so you may want to try a water discount.

    Rose Clay Salt Bar Success!

I used a lower salt ratio...35%. Will do!

    Scent recommendations for soap

Yes! Smells much more like actual berries and not a random pie. It's very subtlety earthy without being crunchy and just really smells of berries. And it hangs out so very well after curing.

    Rose Clay Salt Bar Success!

I made some single mold swirled salt bars colored with rose clay that actually turned out well! Now to try to be patient to wait for the cure!
