Will this work for sensitive skin?

I thought colloidal oatmeal and honey was soothing to the skin, no?

Will this work for sensitive skin?

That looks awesome! My cocoa butter is refined so it has absolutely no scent, so my bar will be completely scentless I think, which kinda makes me sad lol but thats why I want to add a little color, since they can't handle fragrance I still want to give them a beautiful bar. Have you tried any of...

Will this work for sensitive skin?

That's awesome to know! So nice to know about lard! Don't know why I thought it would trace fast lol and didn't think about the clay being drying. Would micas be drying as well? Just didn't want to make a plain bar but give it a little color :)

Will this work for sensitive skin?

Ok, so I've made several batches of regular soaps now, I feel I am getting a handle on the process and the science behind it (I've always been a huge science/chemistry nerd) But my friend is wanting to buy some soaps for xmas to give as gifts to her friends/family, the majority of which have...

Thank you so much! that is what drew me to soap making, the endless experimenting! Thank you so much @Zany_in_CO ! You know I saw that on the calculator but it didn't register that it would overfill my mold lol thank you for pointing that out or I was going to have extra that I had no place to...

7% on the cocoa butter? Sounds great! Nice to know I was on the right track with that recipe, just needs some tweaks which I'm happy to make. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much! That makes perfect sense. I'll definitely wait on adding in goats milk. I want to get a good understanding and experience with the basics first. And thank you mods for putting this post in the right place. I promise I'll figure out these forums very soon.

Thank you! I think you may be right about the size. 2.5 pounds may be too much to learn with. Hmmm I'll need to order a smaller mold because I only have the 40 oz silicone/wood loaf mold. But you all are so helpful!

Is this a recipe you have tried before? I don't have any lard, though I'm sure I can get some at the store.. what will the lard supply that the olive oil won't? boy I have a lot to learn lol Bookreader451: ok I input those and my cleansing, bubbly and creamy went down.. hmmm

Would this recipe work? need advice

Yeah I wanted to steer clear of Palm but I think lard would help with the hardness right? What I'd really like is the perfect 3 or 4 oil recipe that also includes castor oil, as from everything I've read, really helps make it bubbly. But I may be looking for a unicorn recipe lol I am checking...

Hey there, so I've been lurking and reading and trying to absorb as much as I can. I took some tutorials on the lye calculator from soapcalc.com because I could not find a recipe out there I wanted to start with. Everything had ingredients I don't have or had soooo many ingredients, it didn't...
