have been wanting to try beer in soap,can you use beer in HP or will it overheat,any info greatly appreciated

i have made several batches of soap the past couple of fears,just for me & family,just wondering if there are any benefits to adding glycerin,thanks i love this forum read all the time

i am fairly new to soaping so i have a question,do i add gm to lye water,or after cook in a hp batch,i thought if i add to lye water it might turn brown or something worse,any help appreciated
