    Soap Use Rate: IFRA 48 - 6% | IFRA 50 - 2.66% ??

I use the most current IFRA from the place I purchase the FO from. If they don't provide the rates I don't purchase it. I don't use other vendors' IFRA because I don't know if the fragrances are truly identical. The calculators are helpful to determine how much you can start with based on your...

August 2022 SMF Challenge - Dual Swirl Techniques in one Soap

@The_Phoenix in answer to your question in the Entry thread, I primarily support Landing & Recovery operations of the crew module (CM) as a planner. In other words, I build the schedules for operations & maintenance (O&M) of the ground support equipment (GSE) and all of the shore operations...

Thank you everyone for the vote of confidence and congrats to the winners! What a nice way to start my Friday. I've been so busy at work supporting the Artemis launch 🚀 that I haven't had a chance to check back in to the forum or do anything soap. What a nice surprise! Thank you Earlene for...

    Best eucalyptus mint FO?

Oh no! Sorry to hear that. The one I have is more spearmint than eucalyptus but definitely not men's cologne. Is yours clear in the bottle? Mine is.

Entry Thread - August 2022 SMF Challenge - Dual Swirl Techniques in one Soap

For my dual swirl design, I started with a OPW followed by a drop swirl. Fragrance: blended Cucumber Melon & Orange Blossom Mica: Nurture Soap – Summer Crush, Sea Green, Berry Twist, Enchantment OPW: Batter was split into four equal portions. Filled pouring pitcher by alternating colors two...

    Sodium Gluconate in CP Soap

I started with 0.5% SG + 0.5% EDTA per batch weight, but I'm getting a little soap scum so my next batch I'm increasing to 0.8% SG and keeping EDTA at 0.5%. I used to use 2.25% Sodium Citrate with good results.

August 2022 SMF Challenge - Dual Swirl Techniques in one Soap

Cut #1 this morning. I planned on my second swirl breaking through the first swirl but because of the angle of my mold I couldn't get my pour pitcher far enough away from the first layer for it to breakthrough. I'm not going to post pics yet in case I have to enter it anyway. Can't even believe...

    EOCalc.com Blend Reviews

How is Black Rose holding up? I'm working on an order at NDA (first time) and considering adding the black pepper and cinnamon leaf to try this blend. Floral Touch is my absolute favorite blend. I use it in CP at 5% and it holds very well, I mean for at least a year. I made the mistake of...

    Turtles

Thank you. I didn't do anything special but I do use sodium lactate in my recipe so that probably helped. I also CPOP'd the loaf of soap so I placed the turtles in the oven as well. I did make sure to tap & squiggle the molds while pouring. I poured a little, tapped & squiggled, poured more...

    Turtles

@Catscankim I finally used the turtles. The confetti is from the same Infinity swirl challenge batch. Now I want to make more turtles and confetti just to duplicate this soap ;) I like this color theme but I can easily see other colors as well.
