For Masterbatchers of oils - Question

I have been buying the premixed oils from nurturesoap. However, I don't have enough to do a whole loaf. I have oils available (other than the premixed) but I'm not sure which would be best to fill out the weight with. Currently have Coconut Oil, Olive oil, Castor Oil, and Almond Oil. Also...

    F/O Acceleration question

Yup. Everything was going great right up until I added the F/O. Once I added the F/O it started speeding up and I was lucky to get it into the mold. Will do the zap test in a couple of days to see if it's viable as I just made it this morning. :)

    F/O Acceleration question

I made a batch of CP today. The F/O accelerated everything almost to the point of seizing. I did manage to get it into the mold before it seized though. My question is: Is it going to be safe to use or do I need to chuck the batch and start over?

Containers for lye with recycling #2

I'm currently using an Coffeemate plastic container to hold my lye water in while it's cooling. It's a #2. Works beautifully. :)

Melt and pour just as good as cold process?

The only thing you *may* have issues with in MP is swirls, which have to be done at low temp, with reheating. Watch the flashpoints if you are using fragrance or essential oils for scent.

Question regarding F/O transfer and molds

Yay! Thank you! Though I love the Eucalyptus and mint fragrance oil I didn't want the smell transferring over to the next batch.

Question regarding F/O transfer and molds

New to the forum and CP soaping, though I have done M/P for a while now. I bought a silicone mold for M/P soap. I've washed it twice now, and it still smells like the last m/p loaf I made. 2 questions: Will the fragrance transfer to the next loaf (regardless of which type of soap I make)...
