i give a plastic screw top container with the 1st shampoo bar. A bit of plastic canvas in the bottom to hold it out of the drippings. I tell them to have this container out of the shower spray and to put the top on after 6 hours.

@Feelin' Soapy If it is the same mix, maybe the lye is to blame. Could yours be a lessor purity? Maybe weather/barometric pressure is to blame.

I bought a mold that had individual rectangular shape 4"X1"X1" size. I used it to make my stain stixs. They were hard in under 2 hours and unmolded. IDKW yours didn't harden up.

I use mine as soon as they come out of the mold. There take out the mess, even after the item has been through the wash/dryer.

I sold my "Rustic" soap at a craft fair. They bought me out. I think telling them that this was still soap, just not as pretty, impressed them. I will need to make up a batch of salt soap, due to the fact that we are almost out. Down to 5 bars.
