    What are these white spots?

Oh those soaps are scrumptious and I have the greatest empathy with soap number 6!! Going back in for another look...:)

    What are these white spots?

Thank you so much for your replies. Very relieved that they are unlikely to be lye spots! I will look forward to seeing your pics later on @Mobjack Bay

    What are these white spots?

I've just cut this activated charcoal soap made with soy wax. I know its not going to win any beauty contests but can someone tell me what the white spots are top right and bottom middle/left? They are appearing in all the bars. The batter thickened up really quickly probably because I used a...

    Soy Wax Users

I would also like to try some of the above water replacements (champagne…Wow!!). What's making me hesitate is that I am concerned about how to gel my soaps if I use a high sugar water replacement. I get along quite well with soy wax as long as I CPOP. Maybe its because I live in a cooler...

    Soy Wax Users

Can I reawaken this thread? I would like to ask soy wax users advice on how best to add heat inducing additives such as beer, aloe vera, honey etc?

    Soy Wax and Beer?

Has anyone added beer to their soy wax soap? I would like to try this but I'm a bit worried that soaping at warmer temperatures because of the soy wax will result in a lava eruption. Is it safe to CPOP?

What soapy thing have you done today?

Sorry to cause a misunderstanding...I was giving SoapSisters another option for soy wax that may be more readily available to her in Israel and that is definitely OK to use for soap. I wasn't referring to the one she linked to.

What soapy thing have you done today?

Soy and Soya are the same thing and you can see they use both terms on the back of the packaging. If you can't find the wax that KiwiMoose uses (i'm sure she'll be along soon) then the European version is Nature Wax C3 which you may have more luck sourcing. It's still usually described as wax...

Question for UK sellers about MSDS sheets

As I buy olive oil from Aldis, I contacted their customer services who gave me an email enquiry form www.safetydatasheetsinfo.com. Unsurprisingly I have not yet received a reply (over a week ago). This morning I phoned Cosmetic Product Safety Reports and the woman confirmed what DeeAnna said...

Question for European Soap Sellers - Soy Wax

I was just looking at the list of ingredients in their listings. I picked a few vegan soap sellers to narrow my search down a little

Question for European Soap Sellers - Soy Wax

Thanks LilyJo. I emailed an assessor last week but didn't get a reply. After I asked here I also emailed the Soap Kitchen and they have responded that as this brand is cosmetic grade it is OK to use in soap. I'm just surprised I can't find anyone else who uses it.

Question for European Soap Sellers - Soy Wax

I've been looking on Etsy for European soap sellers who use soy wax as one of their ingredients. I can't find any so does this mean that soy wax is not an acceptable ingredient to pass a cosmetic safety assessment? Is there anyone here from Europe who sells soap using soy wax?

    Molten Rapeseed Wax?!

Oh interesting comment about finding rapeseed wax perfect in soap. We have been having a discussion about it here: https://www.soapmakingforum.com/threads/rapeseed-wax.74756/ Can you share how you find it perfect in soap and at what percentage you use it in your recipes? How do you enter it...

    Zany's no slime castile

For the black specks have you checked your salt? I found the occasional black speck in my salt and now run my brine mixture through a paper coffee filter before adding anything else. I got the white spots too...:(
