    cocamidopropyl betaine powder

I have been looking for cocamidopropyl betaine powder or noodles but have mostly come across liquid form, I found a few powder forms on Alibaba but they don't look like surfactants. Does anyone know if it is possible to get it in powder form like you would SCI or SLS?

    Hybrid bars

I'd love to know what the ph was of a hybrid bar. I've been thinking about trying this out. Has anyone tested the ph on one?

    D-Limonene

Weird, Lemon EO is usually made up of around 60-70% d-limonene so less then Orange EO. Might just have to experiment with it and see how long it lasts.

    D-Limonene

I don't think it will stick very well, since Orange EO is usually used at a concerntration of x10 the usual amount due to the fact that the constituents are known to fade in CP soap which is why they sell Orange x10 EO. Since d-limonene makes up Orange Essential Oil at approx 73–97% you could...

    40/42 Lavender Essential Oils

Definitely, even if they only list one species of lavender plant like "Lavandula Angustifolia" there are hundreds of types of Angustifolia's so it could have neumerous different ones in it. They only need to list the Species on a lable. Lavandual (Lavender) is the Genus, Angustifolia is the...

    40/42 Lavender Essential Oils

They don't list the different lavender plants it comes from becuase it's processed in a different way, the EO constitues are seperated so they have linalool and linalyl acetate on their own or use synthetic versions, they are then added to the oil to make up 40/42%. This is why it can't be...

Finished design of my slab soap cutter

If you ever decide to change the sliding mechanism design you could try using telescopic roller or ball baring draw rails for the sliding mechanism, they are really smooth and very strong too and I've seen other designs of cutters using them.

Liquid Soap - still zapping after 24hr

Ah ok will see how this one goes and see if the mica settles to the bottom. I manage to dilute it to a nice thick honey like consistency but had to use a stick blender to get the lumps out so hopefully the bubbles clear in a day or two. Strange, I thought I had done everything right I had even...

Liquid Soap - still zapping after 24hr

So it looks like the zap test doesn't work for me, I went out and bought some ph test strip papers and this is what they show To make sure it was accurate I mixed up some KOH and water So looks like my liquid soap is all good to go :) which is great because I really did not want to throw it...

    Preservatives

Yep I can definitely see that argument too, such a hard decision when you sell since your liable for all these potential issues.

Liquid Soap - still zapping after 24hr

So yesterday I thought I'd try my hand at making liquid soap, I used a modified version of IrishLass's Creamy Cocoa/Shea GLS, I tired using a cooking method I saw online using my hand mixer to keep mixing in the slow cooker till it reached the thick toffee phase, mine never made it past thick...

    Liquid Soap Preservatives Continued...

That’s really clever!! Love that idea of using it in a lip balm tube.

    Preservatives

Wow that is so sneaky!! I’m incredibly disappointed, guess I shouldn’t have expected any better from such a large company.

    Preservatives

So the individual scents they have listed like for their shower jelly says '*Citral *Geraniol *Citronellol *Limonene *Linalool' do you mean that they themselves act as the preservative or that they contain a preservative from whoever manufactured them and they don't list it?

    Liquid Soap Preservatives Continued...

That's so interesting! But isn't undiluted liquid soap paste super duper thick like taffy? how would you even use it undiluted?

    Preservatives

I know this has has been a hot topic lately but I had a few questions myself that I'm hoping people on here can help enlighten me and I didn't want to hyjack someone elses thread. I hope this doesn't open a can of worms  not my intention just want some clarity. How do lush get away with...

    Liquid Soap Preservatives Continued...

I'm curious about this myself, if the high PH isn't a good reason not to use one then how do people get away with not using preservatives in their soap bars? people keep those in their showers and rub them all over their bodies o_O hahaha shouldn't everyone on this forum then be using one for...
