    Bubbles vs. Lather

I would suggest a butter or butter blend they really add to creaminess in soap and may reduce large bubbles

    Almond Oil or Cocoa Butter?

For me - Cocoa butter adds creaminess to the lather. Also - I’ve read that much of CB contains unsaponifiables and may leave some of the butter/oils properties behind.

    Brilliant idea! LOVE:nodding:

My soap smells kind of rancid

Lavender EO smells awful to me when soap is first cut. It mellows with time I have found. That’s been my experience anyway

Hey everyone- lip balm labels ( ughhhhh)

Probably way more advanced that what you are looking for but this why give you an idea on how to manipulate images, text, sizing, layers, gradients, etc. it’s a pretty robust program. Gimp is similar but not exactly the same. Hope it helps you!

Hey everyone- lip balm labels ( ughhhhh)

Yup. That would work too! Photoshop is the perfect type of program for label design. Second only to Adobe Illustrator. MS Word is ok for simple text only labels (like mailing labels) but terrible for anything else. I would challenge anyone to make a better graphic label in Word over Photoshop...

Hey everyone- lip balm labels ( ughhhhh)

I’ve used them and I bring the pdf into photoshop and create on a separate layer over the template layout. There is a free photoshop type program called GIMP tat you may want to try. It may also work with MS Word.

    Travel size soap packaging

I charge $75 cleaning fee...I am only guessing - but I would imagine our guest would question why they weren’t given a full bar (regardless of size) given our somewhat steep fees. :smallshrug:

According to their website they grind up and sanitize all soap and test for all known pathogens and viruses.

To sell, or not to sell...

If craft fairs and markets are so overcrowded, why sell there? I hear time and time again how awful they are. I hear the same about Etsy. Why do soapers continue to try to sell at venues that, by their own admission, are not working? Is it just to complain at how crowded the soap market is...

What soapy thing have you done today?

Agreed! I would think you could just rerun the new shortening thru calc and adjust accordingly.

    Emulsified sugar scrub recipe

I’m not sure. Is it considered broad spectrum? Does it inhibit bacteria growth across all categories? Im a bit leery. Since it is a wash off product - im ok with using a commercial preservative like Germall plus.
