    Birch Tar Oil Soap

Same for Canada. We can't make those types of claims on any cosmetics (soap included) without it being considered a drug. I would imagine it would be the same for the wood tar alone without proof from testing that it does in fact have those qualities.

Sales on companies FO for CP soap

Aztec Candle and Soap Supplies has a sale on right now, 5 samples for $5 (1oz). Limit one per household. I've ordered in the past but haven't got a chance to try them out yet but reviews seem pretty good.

Sales on companies FO for CP soap

I'd suggest just doing a google search "Fragrance oil pre-buy" and your area. I'm not sure where you're located and only know of a couple in Canada. When I used those search terms and found a couple, I verified if they were legitimate by looking at recommendations in some soap Facebook groups...

Sales on companies FO for CP soap

I honestly don't think I've EVER seen FO's, or any soap making ingredients, for 50-60% off. Even ones that are being discontinued aren't priced that low. If this type of sale does exist, i'd love to know the source! Granted i'm in Canada where all supplies seem to cost more than the States, but...

What soapy thing have you done today?

My soapy thing for today is receiving an exciting email from my website for a potential soap order from a gentleman from Malta. He just doesn't like ordering online, so i'll have to process his Visa or MasterCard and accept an order by email. He wants to proceed as soon as possible, so it's...

What soapy thing have you done today?

Doh! Why didn't I think of that?!? I use it on my workstation when i've spilled oils and never even occured to me to use it on the dishes! Thanks @cmzaha for the tip!

What soapy thing have you done today?

I leave overnight too (or a week, or...) I've found Dawn to work pretty well, i've also made my own dish paste using d-limonene which is pretty good (I can't remember for sure, but I think the recipe might have been from Humblebee and Me). That said, I still have some plastics that seem...

What soapy thing have you done today?

Ugh, the soap dishes that come with swirls! Since i'm working from home, I used my lunch hour to wash up yesterdays dishes and decided to reward myself by making more soap. What was going to be a simple two tone coconut lime turned into two shades of green and a beige lightened with titanium...

What soapy thing have you done today?

After a loooong hiatus from anything soap related, i'm finally back in the soap room and have made 4 batches the last few days. I hadn't made soap or done anything soap related since the fall, after all the craziness with the holiday craft shows. I became burned out and took a much needed break...

What soapy thing have you done today?

Totally forgot about this trick, thanks @Misschief! Beautiful! I just tried an ombre for the first time and mine didn't turn out nearly as nice. I poured at too thin trace and the colours merged together too much I think. I love yours!

What soapy thing have you done today?

Sniffed 40 FOs from my Aztec order. I think they were all pretty awesome but to be honest that was about 30 too many to sniff in one sitting for me so I stopped being able to distinguish between them.

I really like them with the purple!

    Palm Kernel Oil & Trace

Thanks @shunt2011 I'm thinking now that it may be a temperature thing. I used to soap in the kitchen last winter and this year I have a workspace set up in my basement where its much cooler. I haven't made soap in about 6 weeks so this PKO batch was the first one I made in those temps. I guess...

    Palm Kernel Oil & Trace

Hi all, I was asked to make a soap with no coconut oil due to an allergy. I replaced it with palm kernel oil, which i've read is the best replacement. All other components of my recipe remained the same. I found it took a lot longer to come to even a light trace compared to my usual recipe. I...

    Aztec 10 for 10

Thank you! Unfortunately I don't have any of those in my order, but i'll keep them in mind for next time. I'll report back if I find any stand outs to recommend (based on my nose anyways) :)

    Aztec 10 for 10

@Millie that's so good to hear! It's my first time ordering from this company. Any particular favorites?

    Aztec 10 for 10

This was too enticing! You can also use the 5 for$5 discount code too. So naturally I had to order, and since shipping to Canada isn't that cheap I also added a couple sample packs to make it worth it. So excited for this to arrive!

    Once a Year Sale

I generally don't mind what people do to those samples, and what the kids like often dictates the sale. I usually encourage sniffing, sometimes I put a sign out "Free Sniffs" which gets some laughs. But I think its pretty disrespectful to hand your child that clearly has a drippy nose bar after...

What soapy thing have you done today?

I got my first e-mail through the contact form on my website that wasn't spam! lol Someone bought a menthol & cucumber shower steamer at the last craft sale I was at. She said she loved the smell so much she wants to buy some more for gifts. Of course its something I hadn't put on my site yet...

    Once a Year Sale

What grossed me out the most was at a sale when a mother brought a very young child to my table and he clearly had a cold, like nose visibly dripping. She continued to hand him soaps to sniff, nose right to the soap. After sniffing a few they walked away. It was a small sale and not busy so when...
