    I followed the recipe...why so acidic on the PH tape?

    I'm not sure exactly how acidit it is, lol. It only goes up to 8.0 and the color is even darker than that...so it is definitely off the charts, lol.

    Used liquid measure instead of weight..can it be saved?

    It wasn't a HUGE batch but it was enough that I hate to waste it. I read somewhere that the "old timers" used to keep adding stuff and then sticking their tongue to it in order to test it. I'm scared to try though.

    Ok, so I know I'm a dunce. I will go ahead and get that out of the way. So my soap turned out very, very lye heavy. Can my soap be saved? Is there a way to melt it back down? And if so, how do I know what to add in order to save it? I hate to waste all of those ingredients!
