Just wanted to let you know I've felt the same. It's why I rarely come here unless I want to add to the "What soapy thing have you done today?" Thread. I never ask for help because the last time I did I was censured and belittled. Pity.

I used a mold that has a pattern in the bottom.

Lol for me rebatch is tossing every trim or every bar of "I hate this soap!" I have in the studio. I've rededicated my cheese grater to the cheese. I just throw chunks and bars into the crock pot and let it melt. Can you say lazy? I kinda like the confetti in my soap!

Question: won't using vinegar instead of water cancel lye's alcalinity and prevent soponification? Please tell me the possible benefits you expect using vineger. I am new to soap making (I am a student of naturopathy. I make creams, salves and lotion bars for the most part.)

I made my first batch of chocolate soap Last week. I added cocoa powder to my fluid HP as it came to "mashed potato" level. I added fresh rose FO. This stuff is sinfully smooth and silky! Thanks for putting the idea into my head!
