    Hello Toni, I am new at soap making and one of the most important rules is to measure by using a scale. I think that would be the issue. The measurements need to be accurate. Chin up! get yourself a digital scale and it will make a difference! Happy Soaping!

    Hello Obsidian, your recipe you suggested looks like it would be great for a shampoo bar! I may experiment with those oils; interesting regarding palm oil. I am very new to soap making and use mainly olive oil, coconut oil, shea & cocoa butters. thanks for information!

    Hello! I accomplished my first coconut milk soap. I used the frozen milk method and once soap was poured in mold I placed in freezer for 3 hours. It is now setting out in mold and has been 24 hours and is firm but sticky. I reviewed different sites and suggestions. One being to leave in mold...

    well, I successfully made my coconut milk with the freezing method. I froze my coconut milk, added the lye to the fr. milk 1/4 at a time, then proceeded with the batch. It came out perfect! my first coconut milk soap. I used 5% SF as well, thank you everyone for your advice......soap on!

    thank you Krista. How did you come up with 2% increase in SF? do you calculate a certain percentage, depending on fat content in coconut milk?

    Hello, I am new to this forum and soap making. One of my many questions is what is the best coconut milk to use ? I bought Thai coconut milk and is was paste......also I have noticed in my lye/water mix there are floaters, any suggestions on either question? thanks! Sherry
