    Wrapping soaps

We buy muslin fabric at Joann's and make pouches for our soaps. We add twine to close to the pouch. Kind of the same design they sell at health food stores for teas. We like it because they are totally re-usable and our customer's appreciate that.

Newbie needs help before attempting first batch of CP soap

Hi there! Here is some of our tips and advice. Because we rebatch most of our soaps molds are not that big of a deal for us. I use a cat litter pan lined with the pan liners for my large batches. They hold anywhere from 10-20 lbs of soap for the large pans. I buy them at a local family...

    Oatmeal as additive to CP

If you like the look of whole oats in your soap, like I do; do not chop them. :)

Are there any free soap cost calculators out there?

Very cool! I never knew there was a recourse like this out there for us soapers! Thanks for asking and thanks for posting the link! Becky

    Oatmeal as additive to CP

I usually mix my oatmeal in at trace and stir. Maybe layer it on the bottom of your mold before pouring your soap? I have never tried it before but this might work. Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in. :) I also do not cook my oats before adding them. I like to use...

    Rebatching Fresh Soap

Okay so not many responses but does anyone have experience with PH meter testers? Where can one be bought? Does anyone test their soap by tasting it like our grammies use too?

    Ideas for the Holidays

Our best is Balsam Fir (Pine Scented Soap). Also Peppermint does well especially if you can make nice red swirls in the soap. I like to buy oils from www.bulkoils.com Fast shipping with good prices. Only down is they use plastic bottles for the oils. I usually transfer them to glass when...

    Wholesale suppliers

I buy a lot of my supplies at www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com I am very happy with them and they have a decent price on Palm oil. Also if you do not need much they have flat rate shipping of $6.95 up to $25.00 order. Good luck! Becky

    Rebatching Fresh Soap

Thank you for your comment. I tried mine again today and it does not burn at all. And in fact the rebatched bars are harder than the bars I did not rebatch. I would be so excited if I could just rebatch my bars and have them ready right away! :P

new here and a question to all

I love molds that say handmade or goat milk but they are only available (that I have found) in small batches. When I make CP soap I like to have at least 40 bars. I am with another poster though it would need to be affordable.

    Rebatching Fresh Soap

Hi there! I made Unscented Goat Milk CP Soap two days ago. I rebatched some of it today with my additives. I heard that if you rebatch soap even if freshly made you can use it right away. Does anyone know if this is true? It is only 2 days old. Thanks! Becky
