    temperature issues perhaps?

I see. Thank you for that. Guess if it's that big of an ordeal for me, I can always switch to different types of wax.

    temperature issues perhaps?

yes, this is definitely 100% soy. So if using soy, how do you avoid that? remelting the top?? would it also be affected by the lack of my attention to temperatures?

    temperature issues perhaps?

I made my first batch of candle melts last night. Final product was good. Smelled good, and sorta looked good. When I look at the bottom of the melt, I have a circle or ring. I feel it and it's very smooth. I'm wondering if it was starting to sink during the cooling process. If I had to...

For the candle impaired, wax melts??

I am new to candle making as well. I tried making a candle, and although it turned out, the scent was not there once lit. So I decided to try melts. I find them to be much easier to make. I just made my first batch last night, using 100% soy. I have the melt burning now, and it does smell...

perfect. That's what I started doing as well.

    before closing up BB's

I was referring to bath bombs. I see BB has different meanings :)

    before closing up BB's

After the BB is made, and it sets out in the open air to cure. Can this curing be done inside an air tight container? Or should it sit out for a couple days before closing up? How much fragrance is lost due to sitting in the open air for curing?

    bb recipe differences

soapaddict415 - this may be a dumb question, but I think I might be missing the obvious factor there. If I were to buy BB's from other makers, and I find one I really like, I find it hard to believe that said seller would release the recipe for me to duplicate. Sure the BB might do everything...

    bb recipe differences

well, once the BB is made, I have been letting it sit exposed to air for 1-3 days so it becomes hard. How much scent am I losing due to that? Once the bombs are made, can they be placed in a sealed container immediately? Or does it need that open air dry time to fully cure? before trying the...

    bb recipe differences

hmmmmm, ok let's ask this then, cause the amount of EO that I used, would have my tub smelling like a eucalyptus factory. But wuite the opposite. As I mentioned in the OP, that was the recipe I used. It called for a teaspoon, which I think was half the little bottle of EO. The tester said...

I assume since these oils are made for soaps, that they are safe for BB's? https://www.bulkapothecary.com/cold-hot-process-soap-fragrance-oils-1/

    bb recipe differences

I see. As I mentioned, I will see what my feedback is on the latest tweaks, but will most likely try the one you gave me. I always see these essential oils in really small bottles. the recipe for two balls pretty much takes a whole bottle, or close to. Guess ther eis no way around that, short...

    bb recipe differences

I get that. The bombs I make in the OP, fizz, have minimal color, but scent and moisturizers are lacking. I'd love to use that recipe and only tweaking a couple things. Rather than scrapping all, and starting with all new ingredients. I mean, I am not making these for money, but would...

    bb recipe differences

HOLY CRAP.........that must have taken a lot of money to make it perfecto. that's what I was trying to get away from. again, give me a recipe that works perfectly and call it a day. but I see how that can't happen, since everyone's tastes are different. so my question is this. How did you...

    bb recipe differences

I have noticed there are plenty of recipes out there for home made BB's. some ranging from the simple ingredients that you have in your home, to other recipes that require special ingredients. I have been using this for a few runs, still trying to figure a couple things out. 4 oz. baking soda...

    bb fragrance oils

battlegnome - when it comes to that calculator, it asks what I am making. what are bath bombs considered? going off of the recipe below, when it asks for total amount, whether it be ounces or grams, is it asking for the weight of all ingredients, or just the dry ingredients? shunt2011 - My...

    bb fragrance oils

When making my bb's, im finding the scent is very mild, next to non existant when being used. I used 1 tsp of essential oil per recipe, which was enough to make (2) 2-3/8" bb's. The scent is very strong during the prep/dry time. But come bath time, it doesn't exist. Is it the oil that is...
