A couple question for Aussie soapers

I found a couple places online but by the time postage factored in it was cheaper from the Healthfood shop. I got a 100g container of powder which is an awful lot of the stuff...the container is like the one you get 200 fish oil caps in & its 2/3 full.

A couple question for Aussie soapers

To be fair, the only thing Ive ever had a problem with quality wise from Escentials is the FO.Absolutely everything else is top notch & their prices are great.Always the first port of call for me,I get most of my soap & cosmetic/B&B ingredients there(& freight is only $9 to where Im at which is a...

A couple question for Aussie soapers

Oh dear...escentials FO's are utter shite in cp! Shame, because the vast majority of their stuff is great. The FO's work well in B&B stuff, just not cp. :(

    besides soap...

Really old posts Relle. Pics have to be hosted by a service to be shown (like flicker or photobucket) so if the OP deletes the pics from their account or closes it then theres nothing to link to... HTH :) quote="Relle9"]No photos again, don't know what happening. :?

    Stearic/Palmitic acid "film"

I know what you mean about the cream soap. It's sort of a waxy draggy feeling? Have never experienced that with bar soap tho.

A couple question for Aussie soapers

Hi Kaz plastic to the soap, paper to the mould. Ive also tried fun foam-works well but no good for divider moulds cos its 2mm thick & then the dividers wont fit. And you need to actually find the stuff :?

A couple question for Aussie soapers

Freezer paper is different than baking paper. It's bonded.. paper one side, plastic the other and it's FABULOUS.I love it.Baking paper gives the crinklies. You can find it at some quilting stores(which is where I got mine). I searched ages before I found some. It's also called deli paper but I...

Re: My first soap swap Ive used SC Honeysuckle Hollow,no A or D & it's quite strong so I only use 2%.I have some soap from Oct '09 & it still smells heavenly.(sweet heavy old-style floral, reminds me of the old Yardley single note fragrances & I love it!) Have fun with yr swap, that's what...

a black bear visited our bird feeder

Far out. That's amazing.Freaky but amazing. I always think oh wow but realistically you don't really want a bear in yr backyard eh?Bit of a worry when wild creatures become accustomed to being near humans. Saw a goanna in my suburban yard once, freaked me completely.

I LOVE escentials! Ive never had a prob, well a couple small things but they were fixed pronto. High quality eo's & prices are excellent. Lucky for me there's no wishlist or I'd be permanently broke!lol FO's? Smell great but I've used 3 in cp & each seized horribly.Strawb,PinaColada & i think...

    colorful swirls

C'mon, those swirls are pretty darn good! The black raspberry is really lovely. 8) PopMica's are my favourite colours.Really intense when you want them to be but can acheive some beautiful pastel & muted tones too.Plus they're a breeze to work with. What did you use for the black? I have a...

    Pinks and greens

Re: Natural Colours I've used the 'oil soluble' chlorophyl(basically chlorophyl mixed in a carrier oil).Gorgeous green for a few weeks, then it fades, then turns brown & rancid & disgusting. Assuming the rancidity is the carrier oil & haven't used the powdered form but use with caution...

How would this recipe turn out?

Dont forget soapcalc doesnt take OO's eventual rockhard quality into account. With 60% I'd say it's going to be a nice firm bar :) Ive done 75 OO 20 CO 5 castor & it was great.

a new scent idea for me to try

I think it's a great idea for a range.Just Peppermint.Just T-tree. etc Bergamot holds up ok on it's own.Lemon eucalypt. T-tree. Anise. And all quite strong so you don't need much. Shame about the Lav sensitivity Woodi.
