    Hello!!

haha please don't take my year old videos as an accurate representation of how I soap now. I always wear gloves now. Thank you!! It's actually not as scary as I thought it would be. I have a couple different channels for my different hobbies and I never get rude comments or mean people. I have...

What Olive oil turns castile green?

I've never heard of olive oil turning soap green. It will turn it a medium yellow at best. https://www.thespruce.com/types-of-olive-oil-for-soap-517112 Here's a great article about the different types of olive oil.

How do I make scent stick?

I guess I'll just have to go with trial and error then. Most of the wsp I get fade so I might just steer clear of them. Even the scents I've bought on ebay from no name supplies have performed better than most of the WSP I've gotten.

How do I make scent stick?

Ahhh this is so frustrating! It seems no one has this problem and I have it consistently I'm so jealous :( I just tried sniffing coffee then my soaps to see if I'm nose blind and I found that my samples which are stacked on top of each other still smell but the bars which are spaced about half...

How do I make scent stick?

The one I made yesterday I could've gone nose blind to, but the one I made a week ago has been out of sight and out of mind for a week. I took a little sliver from the end of the loaf and used it on my hands yesterday and no scent at all. Other ones I made 3-4 days ago I can smell very well and...

    Rash after using M&P

Do you have any allergies you know about? Like soy? I've heard vegetable glycerin is made with soy most of the time.

How do I make scent stick?

I'm having a problem with making scent stick in my CP soap. A soap I made yesterday has already lost its scent which yesterday filled the whole house. I looked at the maximum usage which is 18.5% and I used 5% so then I thought that was the problem. Calculated out, I would have to use 3oz of...

    Labeling Soap; Shipping Package Options

If you don't need to disclose the ingredients of the base I would just put "Natural Glycerin Soap Base" or something along those lines. Listing all the ingredients of the base would be a giant headache to read and would turn people off the "natural" aspect. Chemical names are scary to consumers...

    Vanilin content under 2 %

I use a color stabilizer with any sort of vanillin content if I want white or other light colors. It all discolors, just more drastically the higher the percent.

Anyone used chlorophyll to colour soap?

I would not expect it to add any different than the spirulina. Spirulina (I know it as cyano bacteria in the aquarium hobby) is an algae like organism that uses chlorophyll for photosynthesis. The green in the spirulina you tried already is also from chlorophyll.

Help! Tried Something New and did not work

I've found the craft store bases are more drying than the melt and pour bases from soap supply websites. I would definitely suggest getting some from wholesalesuppliesplus or other soap supply websites. They won't need to have oil added to them since they are great bases to begin with.

    Hello!!

Yes I have made my lye water for the last couple years in mason jars but just this week learned about the potential for it to shatter. I have ordered a stainless steel pitcher to mix it in from now on. Thanks for worrying about me!! I was surprised when I learned glass wasn't safe

Best way to dilute mica colorant

I usually just use water because I soap at room temp so my oils are a little thicker. They don't like to mix with powders very well.

So very new and in need of help.

Are you using a M&P base from a soap supply website or from the craft store? I found that the craft store bases harden up super quick and makes the process a little difficult. If you're having an issue with bubbles you can keep heating in between steps. Example, if you stir in a colorant and now...
