How to Make & Sell Soap Legally in Canada

I realize this thread is 10 years old. Is this still a thing? I currently make soap for friends, coworkers and family but am considering bumping up my soap game. Does anyone from Canada have insight into the hows, wheres and whats it takes to sell LEAGALLY in Canada. I'm sure there are more than...

    Hello from Canada

I use Candora regularly, but I've also used Windy Point out of BC in the past. They ship to Ontario (SW Ontario here)

    How Much Water Evaporates?

I've found I lose about 20-25% of the fresh cut bar after a 4 week cure. But I'm not a pro either 😁

Working on Stain Removal soap bar

So, I'm a little late to this party...ok, the party ended 5 years ago with the last entry in the thread, but in the words of Will Smith...hey, I'm a party starter! So a couple of years ago I did make a stain bar, based off of a few different web sites, with CO, PO, and Soybean oil (I had some...

Awesome! I'll look forward to checking them out. Today I decided to bump up my soap game a bit. Logo, labels etc. Hopefully this new found enthusiasm doesn't wane lol! Thank you all!

My first shaving soap is a success!

You're lather really does look incredible! I've purchased several but not made my own, well, I've tried making shave soap once, I was completely unimpressed with mine. None I've purchased felt particularly good for my face either. I found the recipe online and followed directions to the letter...

What soapy thing have you done today?

I spent the day going through the forum and posts trying to concoct the best stain stick I can find for perspiration stains for a customer. I'm a bit overwhelmed, there's a lot of information. He brought me a tiny stub of the one he loved and used before asking me to "create it" . It has Olive...

    Soap queen recipe

@Tienne am I safe to presume 1/2 - 1 "dl" per load is 100 ml? A decilitre, isn't a common measurement phrase in North America. In Canada we'd just say 100 ml.

    Mikes Recipe for Laundry Detergent

I keep getting an error as well. This is an old thread I understand, but does anyone have any idea why I get an error when trying to pull this recipe up?

    yet another label prototype

I love the simplicity of the label. Right away from your label I got the impression you were just "down-home" people making a soap that you want people to appreciate for the simplicity of it. I hand cut my soaps as well and I know personally, no 2 are ever the exact same weight. I don't know the...

    Coconut and oatmeal

I'm pretty new to soap making, a few batches under my belt. Today I made almond milk for a soap recipe (I like to live on the edge from the start) it's in the freezer right now for tomorrows batch soap adventure. I was wondering the same thing with oats. I purchased steel cut oats and I'm going...
