    Mango Soap

    Mango soap - using mango puree. Was an awful brown but then changed to a more pleasant colour. Very soft soap, waited 3 days before cutting.

    First time trying coffee (frozen cubes added to lye) Dried coffee grinds added and Cocoa for the dark base colour. Looks ok...could have had more 'cream'

    Is it ok to shrink wrap your soap after 6 weeks of curing? Tried looking for an answer but couldn't find one. CP soap.

    Saffron thread

    Quick question. I soaked some saffron threads in oil, hoping this will add some colour to my CP soap. Do I remove the threads or leave in? I don't want to colour skin when using the soap Thanks in advance

    Home Brew Soap

    Was trying to make a 'manly' soap with my brother in mind.... Home brew with a depth charge (Drambuie) and froth on top. Beer was a bit light coloured but still I think it came out well Reminds me of antlers which is unintentional but fitting as my brother is a deer hunter and a home brewer...

    Bread proofer for gel phase

    Hi I am new at this game and been reading about the gel phase in CP soap. A question - Would a bread proofer be an advantage in keeping soap warm in this stage? The one I have has this range of temps 70-120 °F / 21–49 °C If so how long would you keep it in the proofer.

    Should the oils and lye be approx 57C (134F) when mixed together? Can't see any posts on this.

    Hello from New Zealand

    I am very keen to start soapmaking CP - even learning the lingo! My supplies are on order and hopefully I will have some success. Watched a few videos and feel comfortable about the process.
