    Beard Balm advice

I realized today that I've been spending a small fortune on beard oils and balms, and that I could make them with the ingredients I have on hand for CP soapmaking. I prefer balm to straight oils. But, my first recipe; 2 Tbsp Beeswax 4 Tbsp Apricot Kernel Oil 2 Tbsp Olive Oil 2-3 Drops...

    Autumn Fragrances

Every time I check the "Christmas 2017" thread my blood pressure spikes, but I AM ready to think about soaping for Autumn. I recently went off my fall staple, BB's Ancient Sedona, and am looking for new ideas and suggestions. What fragrances make you think of Autumn?

    Fragrance Oil Finder

For the past several weeks, fragranceoilfinder.com has been unavailable as the domain hasn't been renewed. It would be a shame to lose this resource forever, but I don't know what the options are. Does anyone know the webmaster?

    It's a Lemon

Have any of you found a good lemon FO that doesn't discolor horribly or smell like a cleaning product? I've tried BB's Electric Lemonade, which is pretty synthetic, NG's Lemon, which all but disappeared during cure, and Nurture's Avobath, which I love but is a lemony blend with other notes...

    Clay Crisis

I used Gold Brazilian clay, adding it to my lye water (which I usually do to enhance color), but when I went to pour the water into...

    EO behaving badly

I tried a forum search, so forgive me if there is an existing thread about this topic. But, can anyone recommend a resource for EO behavior in CP soaping? Is clove really that naughty, does mint sometimes cause seizing, etc. I have found some wonderful blending advice and a lot of good basic...

    Hello from MN, USA

I'm Andrew, and while I've been lurking here for months, I've only recently started posting, I'm thankful for all the hints, information, and warnings contained in this forum. I'm mainly experimenting with cold process recipes using natural colorants and essential oils, but am curious about all...

    EO usage suggestions?

The cold process soaps that I've scented with essential oils have largely been disappointing. The scents are too faint, don't stick, or no longer smell like they should after tangling with the lye monster. I turned to FO's and have had success, but lately I long to make a totally "natural" bar...
