    Lumpy Oat milk lye solution

A quart of commercial oat milk (Trader Joe's) was just left behind after a party and I'm wondering about using it for soap. It just says it's water and hydrolyzed oats. If it's OK to use should I go with less than 100 % or use the split method?

    Fragrance oils

Another vote for Nurture, plus they have wonderful micas. Candle Science Rustic Escentuals Majestic Mountain Sage, super fast shipping and have other oils I use. Pretty much have stopped using Brambleberry because of SLOW shipping

    Totally confused

I make a lot of milk soaps using wood molds. I can avoid gel by placing my mold in the freezer for an hour before soaping and then putting it back in the fridge for about 8 hours, usually overnight for this sleepyhead. I have tried other molds, the Essential depot seems the best for holding...

    wind and markets

    Hide and Seek

I've been hiding for a couple years now while I seek soaping secrets. It has been a wonderful journey but it's probably time I come out of the mountains and say HI! Although I've always been interested in making soap I didn't start until 2012 to help a family member with severe allergies. My...

    I need "Labels for Dummies"

I found with Online Labels if you click on "images" and then "clipart" and type in borders in the search there a lots, I just stretch them to fit my label. I find Online easier then Avery, they fit their labels consistently and you can order single sheets as samples to try. Shipping is VERY fast!

    Liquidiation - Cheese Making Supplies

Thanks! I'm a cheese maker that fell into soap making because I had an excess of milk. I have found that the activated charcoal they sell is perfect for soaps and being 10 ounces will last quite a while. The cheese color is annatto which works well for yellow coloring without having to wait...

    Annatto Colorant?

In cheese making we use a liquid annatto colorant to give cheese the bright orange/yellow. Would this work for CP soap too? Ingredients listed are: water, annatto, potassium hydroxide, castor oil. If so would it be better to add to lye or oils?
