I am still trying to get my head around the fact that soap IS NOT CONDITIONING. And yet Dove says they add 1/4 cold cream to make it conditioning. Is this just an advertising ploy or does adding something like shea butter to my soap help. Please can someone set me straight

Here in Canada we have Tenderflake lard. Can you confirm that this is what I can use please? And what would be the percentage? I am looking at a soap with almond oil, coconut oil, lard, and avocado oil. I'm trying to keep the soap simple but with conditioning and hardness. Thanks folks
