I think it was the activated charcoal that I used which caused it. Only the portion that I mixed with it has ash. Is that unusual?

Didn't mean for them to come out like this but since a lot of the soap was lost in the other mold... I ended up making these little guys.

No it was CP using a technique from M&P. I had to take the jaws of life to it to get it out of the mold because I was using a new mold that I made that day which ended up having a crack in it... lost about 1/5 the soap while duck taping the mold completely as it leaked out and into my glove...

This soap was a near catastrophe on 3 different levels... however it doesn't look to be a total loss. What do you all think? Sorry it didn't post the picture first time. (moved - please post photos in the Photo Gallery).

I'm not as much worried about salt because I'm pretty active so I sweat tons... sugar is the real enemy, since everything went low fat and is now full of it.

There was a summer when I was in high school that all we had in the deep freeze was about 4 ft deep of bacon. My mom got a deal on it and bought it all, but then we ended up not having as much other food in the house so literally we had bacon every meal for a whole summer

I am looking for stuff that I can buy either from the dollar store or walmart for fairly cheap that give soap color and doesn't change the recipe very much. Anything from solid colors to specks that just add to the appearance of soap.
