Batch with new FO the texture of molding clay after four days. Rebatch or nah?

Alright! Cut it, and I'm pretty pleased! http://imgur.com/a/MVtEg It unmolded nicely and cut well. I stumbled on a swirl!! When I had rolled it into balls after the bars unmolded so badly, I noticed that only the outside had discolored from the vanilla FO. So it looked weird. Mashing it...

Batch with new FO the texture of molding clay after four days. Rebatch or nah?

I run EVERYTHING through soap calcs if I change the slightest thing, because I had the absolute exactness of soap measurements beat into my head at the beginning by all the books I read before soaping my first recipe. So, everything was run through this lye calculator. These were the exact...

Batch with new FO the texture of molding clay after four days. Rebatch or nah?

Ooh! I'm going to try it right now. That was my first time using castor oil. I switched safflower for castor oil from a previous recipe and should have done more reading. The Brambleberry castor oil bottle says use up to 10%. Should have googled that. Thanks for the tip!!

Batch with new FO the texture of molding clay after four days. Rebatch or nah?

Like the title says, I made a new batch of soap recently with a new fragrance oil from Brambleberry. Their Vanilla Cybilla mixed with Blueberry Jam. My first time making fragrance oiled soap as opposed to just EOs. Recipe was: 10% castor 20% Coconut oil 10% Hemp oil 12.50% Shea Butter...

Are these goats milk bars scorched beyond use?

Oh, I'm a genius lol. My husband found this on amazon and ordered it for me like "Here! I found you a three dollar mold!". That makes more sense now. I feel kind of stupid now. lol My husband is offering to cut a box to fit with some wood fencing.

Are these goats milk bars scorched beyond use?

Awesome! Thanks! I'm trying that technique tonight with a simplified recipe and buttermilk. No honey tonight. Lye solution in the fridge. Here's hoping I have a not ugly color. I thought you'd all appreciate seeing the results I got using your advice. This was 50/50 water/buttermilk with lye...

Are these goats milk bars scorched beyond use?

Sorry I wasn't clear. I put the goat's milk in the freezer while I prepared everything else so it would be super cool. It got slushy but not frozen. I did not cool the oils at all. And I did use 50/50 water and milk. It made a super concentrated lye solution that I let cool while I was doing...

Are these goats milk bars scorched beyond use?

So last night I made some more goat's milk soap. I've done this twice. The previous goats milk soap was made in a log mold with frozen milk and lye and turned pink. I think from the allspice essential oils. Weird, but it's actually pretty. Last night's batch was sadder. I used the "milk in...

Recent soap batch and a wonky air conditioner.

Thanks for the tips! I put a fan on the soaps and otherwise left them alone, and they're hardening back up nicely. That's the last time I use that much sunflower oil without swapping out some of the olive oil. I've made some pink sea salt soaps yesterday and they're doing great too. Thank...

Recent soap batch and a wonky air conditioner.

Hello from South Carolina! I just made my 10th batch of cold process soap, including experiments with buttermilk and herbal tea in place of water. I have been incredibly lucky and haven't had to deal with any major disasters, and my cured soaps are being enjoyed thoroughly by family and...
